The Law Reform Commission has undertaken internal and stakeholder work to update its strategic direction for the coming years.

The emerging programme places emphasis on comprehensive statutory review, codification, gender and human rights, access to justice, public participation and stronger institutional capacity for research and legislative drafting.

The review also reflects the need to address laws that may conflict with the 1986 Constitution, laws that no longer respond to present realities and legal frameworks requiring clearer coordination across public institutions.
