Established in 2009 and placed on permanent statutory footing in 2011, the Commission keeps Liberia's laws under review and advances coherent, modern reform.

Law Reform Commission Act, 2011
The Act establishes the Law Reform Commission as an independent statutory Commission of Government, defines its legal authority and sets out functions covering law review, research, reform proposals, legislative drafting, harmonisation, codification and publication.
