The Law Reform Commission supported a high-level technical review of the proposed War and Economic Crimes Court Bill in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County in June 2026.
The engagement brought together lawmakers, legal experts, justice-sector stakeholders and the Office for the Establishment of the War and Economic Crimes Court for Liberia to examine provisions of the draft legislation before further legislative consideration.
The Commission's participation reflects its statutory role in legal review, legislative analysis and support for technically sound reform proposals. The draft bill remains subject to the constitutional and legislative processes required before any enactment.
