Proposed amendments to Liberia's anti-corruption framework, developed through a Law Reform Commission review and stakeholder validation process, continued to receive legislative and institutional scrutiny in 2026.
The reform work follows stakeholder dialogue and validation conducted in 2025 on legal provisions affecting anti-corruption enforcement. Subsequent debate has included questions concerning illicit enrichment, evidentiary burdens, constitutional safeguards and the respective roles of accountability institutions.
The Commission's responsibility is to support technically sound legal reform while ensuring that proposals remain consistent with the Constitution and Liberia's wider accountability obligations.
