An International Monetary Fund staff report published in April 2026 records that the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission, Office of the Ombudsman and Law Reform Commission were working with stakeholders on draft amendments to the Code of Conduct framework affecting publication of public officials' asset declarations.
The reported reform work seeks to remove the restriction under which asset declarations may be published only when authorised by court order, while wider consultations consider safeguards, risk-based verification and the public-interest basis for disclosure.
This remains a proposed legal reform. Publication on the Commission website does not mean the amendment has been enacted; the legal record should be updated when the legislative position is formally verified.
