The Law Reform Commission participated in public hearings on proposed reforms to Liberia's Mining and Minerals Law in July 2026 alongside sector ministries, regulators, economic institutions and industry stakeholders.
The hearings examined the need to modernise Liberia's mining legal framework in response to changing environmental, economic and technological realities, including climate considerations, strategic minerals and sector governance.
The Commission's participation reflects its broader statutory role in reviewing legal frameworks and supporting coherent legislative reform across sectors.
