Act to Amend the New Penal Code Chapter 14 Sections 14.70 and 14.71 and to Provide for Gang Rape, 2005
Commonly known as Liberia's Rape Law, this Act was approved on 29 December 2005 and published by authority of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 17 January 2006. It repealed and replaced sections 14.70 and 14.71 of Chapter 14 of the Penal Code, redefining rape, creating the offence of gang rape, addressing consent, and revising grading and sentencing.
