Regulation

New Fisheries Regulations, 2010

Issued for Liberia's marine fisheries sector and published in Official Gazette Vol. IX, No. 43 of 24 November 2010, these regulations governed fisheries conservation and management, vessels, licences and authorisations, fishing and transhipment, ports, registration, artisanal fishing, monitoring, control and surveillance, compliance and offences. FAOLEX records them as implementing the historical 1976 Marine Fisheries Law, repealing the 1973 fishing rules, and later being repealed by Regulation No. NAFAA/001/2020.
